There's Value in This Joel Embiid Player Prop to Dominate Game 5 for Sixers vs. Heat
Joel Embiid has a broken face and a torn ligament in his thumb, and the Miami Heat still don’t know how to slow him down.
In the two games since Embiid’s return, he’s averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds and nearly 12 trips to the free throw line per game. Embiid had the luxury of James Harden turning back the clock in Game 4, so he didn’t have to save the day. However, expect Embiid to do his best Superman impression in Game 5.
WynnBET has Embiid’s player prop for 40+ points and rebounds at +125. This would most likely come in the form of a 30-point, 10-rebound game, but I can see Embiid clearing 30 easily tonight. With plus money on that prop, Embiid gets my full support tonight.
As great as Bam Adebayo is on defense, he isn’t big enough to stop Embiid when his mind is made up about going to the basket. Adebayo has nine fouls over the last two games, forcing him to be less physical while guarding Embiid. Although he will need a few more points to get to 40+, the scoring will come for Embiid – especially as he begins to get acclimated again.
As far as rebounds go, Embiid’s floor is very high. He’s pulled down 11 rebounds in each of the last two games. He’s only had one game this postseason under 10 rebounds, which means that you’re banking on a high-20s, low-30s point performance.
Harden is set to come back down to earth today, which means Embiid will have the ball in his hands more. He’s only averaging 12.5 per game shots in the two games he’s been back.
This is very simple to me. Embiid gets more shots, he gets more points and we see (and cash in) on Embiid’s return to dominance.
