This Is Your Last Chance to Buy Low on Rams' NFC West Odds
By Reed Wallach
The Los Angeles Rams are still chasing the undefeated Arizona Cardinals after the team lost to the Cards in Week 4. However, don't lose hope in the Matthew Stafford-led Rams just yet, actually you should bet LA to catch them now.
I expect the odds to stay static through this week considering both Arizona and Los Angeles are both favored by more than two touchdowns, but the upcoming schedule favors the Rams a ton.
Currently at WynnBET Sportsbook, the Cardinals are -130 favorites to win the NFC West, while the Rams are +130 underdogs. I'll mention that the 49ers are +1000 and the Seahawks are +4000, but both are longshots given their slow starts due to injuries.
Let's take a peek at both contenders upcoming schedules and show why there is value in getting the Rams now before it's too late.
Cardinals Next 6 Games
- Houston Texans
- Green Bay Packers (Thurs)
- @ San Francisco 49ers
- Carolina Panthers
- @ Seattle Seahawks
- BYE
- @ Chicago Bears
Rams Next 6 Games
- Detroit Lions
- @ Houston Texans
- Tennessee Titans
- @ San Francisco 49ers
- BYE
- Green Bay Packers
- Jacksonville Jaguars
It's worth mentioning that after these six games, the Rams and Cards meet in Arizona, a game that may decide the division. Both teams do play the Green Bay Packers, the toughest on both teams schedule, but the Cardinals will be playing that game on short rest on a Thursday night.
Meanwhile, L.A. will have a bye week to prepare for that one. Under Sean McVay, the Rams are 4-1 off of a bye straight up.
Elsewhere on the schedule, there is a chance Russell Wilson is back on the field for that Seahawks-Cardinals game in November. Of course, that changes the dynamics of this matchup and the Cards could enter that game as road underdogs.
Both teams have other divisional tests with trips to San Francisco to face the 49ers. Division matchups are always physical and Arizona has two upcoming while the Rams only have one, another leg up for Los Angeles.
Yes, the Cards have a one game advantage, but jumping in on the Rams at + money is an advantageous bet. Arizona has been skating by over the past few weeks, cashing in on turnover luck, while the Rams have continued to suffocate opposing offenses and look efficient on offense with Stafford under center. McVay's team is fourth in EPA/Play on offense and ninth on defense.
The standings may look different in a few weeks, and L.A. is the play right now.
