The Oklahoma City Thunder put on an offensive clinic on Sunday against the New York Knicks, scoring 145 points and shooting 62.5 percent from the field in the win.

Now, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and company have a back-to-back in Boston against a red-hot Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics. Tatum dropped 43 on Saturday night in a win over the Detroit Pistons.

The Celtics come into this game on a six-game winning streak, but they are just 7-6 against the spread in the early going. That’s not terrible since they have entered most games as big favorites, but Boston isn’t blowing out every team in its path right now.

The Thunder have been frisky, but a back-to-back on the road could be tough for this young team.

Thunder vs. Celtics Prediction and Pick

As fun as OKC has been this season, I don’t think this is a favorable spot for this team on the road. Boston is 5-1 at home this season with four of those wins coming by nine or more points.

The Thunder certainly showed they can score the ball on Sunday, but can we really trust this team two nights in a row?

I’m going to lean with Boston here, as the team has the No. 1 offensive rating and No. 3 net rating in the NBA despite taking a step back defensively this season.

OKC is 17th in net rating and 15th in defensive rating, which is concerning given how well Boston has played on offense, especially Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Malcolm Brogdon may miss this game for the Celtics, but Boston handled the Pistons without him.

There’s a chance the Thunder rest some people in this game, and after an all-time offensive performance on Sunday, I expect them to level out tonight.
