The NBA didn’t do the Brooklyn Nets any favors when rescheduling their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, as Brooklyn is now set to play its second back-to-back this week on Thursday against the Oklahoma City Thunder

The Nets dominated the Eastern Conference-leading Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, but they’ll return home to face the Thunder, who will be without a few players in this matchup.

The issue for the Nets at home is that Kyrie Irving is unable to play, so it will be up to Kevin Durant and James Harden to carry the load in the second leg of a back-to-back.

Here are the odds for this game via WynnBET

Thunder vs. Nets Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Thunder: +7.5 (-110)
  • Nets: -7.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Thunder: +270
  • Nets: -340

Total:

  • 217 (Over -110/Under -110)

Thunder vs. Nets Prediction and Pick

The Thunder may not be the best basketball team in terms of winning games, but they have been an elite team to bet on, covering the spread in 26 of their 40 games this season (65%).

This is a step up in class for OKC against the Nets, but there’s a chance Steve Nash takes it easy on Durant and Harden tonight, especially since the latter was questionable to play in yesterday’s contest.

I’m not saying the Nets will mail this game in, but they likely can win this game without both players playing heavy minutes, which could give Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and company a chance to hang around.

The Thunder aren’t great on offense, but they are 16th in the league in defensive rating and 13th in that statistic over their last 10 games.

The Thunder are 12-7 ATS as a road underdog and have covered in five of their last six games. They won’t upset the Nets, but I like them to cover here.

Lean: Thunder +7.5 (-110)
