The Denver Nuggets bounced back from opening night loss to Utah, with a win over Golden State last night. The Oklahoma City Thunder are still looking for their first win. OKC has been off since a Wednesday night loss to Minnesota, and the extra rest may give the Thunder a shot tonight.

Will Denver win two in a row or will OKC get into the win column? Let’s see what Vegas thinks.

Thunder vs. Nuggets Prediction and Pick

Nikola Jokic got his revenge for the first round of the playoffs last night. He dropped 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists on Golden State in the 128-123 win. Last year, he was all alone in that series without Michael Porter Jr. or Jamal Murray, but last night he at least had Porter Jr to add 17 points. Murray was out for load management in his return from his knee injury.

Murray should be playing tonight and a fresh Jamal Murray could offset the rest difference. The Thunder have been resting since Wednesday and Denver had to play the defending champs last night and then travel back to Denver. The Nuggets hope that Murray is better in his second Game of the year, than he was against Utah when he only had 12 points and one assist in 26 minutes.

The Thunder hung around with Minnesota in their only game of the season and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 32 points, six rebounds and five assists. If a couple of their shooters get hot around SGA and Lu Dort hounds Murray all night, I think that Denver will be gassed by the end of the night and the Thunder will pull off the upset.

Underdogs have been very profitable in the NBA regular season the past two years and I don’t see that trend changing. This is more of a schedule loss for Denver than anything, but I like the Thunder on the moneyline.

Pick: Thunder +300
