Thunder vs. Sixers Prediction and Odds for NBA Summer League (OKC a Live Dog on Thursday)
By Peter Dewey
The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to go a perfect 3-0 in the Salt Lake City Summer League, but they’ll have to go through a strong Philadelphia 76ers team to do so.
The Thunder have one of the most talented rosters in the Summer League, led by Josh Giddey and Chet Holmgren.
Philly has played back-to-back close games, beating the Utah Jazz by four on Wednesday night.
Who should we bet on in this matchup? Here are the odds from BetMGM:
Thunder vs. Sixers Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Thunder +1.5 (-110)
- Sixers -1.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Thunder: +105
- Sixers: -125
Total:
- 172.5 (Over -110/Under -110)
Thunder vs. Sixers Prediction and Pick
I’ll start by saying this:
Josh Giddey is too good to be playing in the NBA’s Summer League.
Giddey has looked a step above everyone else ahead of his second NBA season, but as long as he and Holmgren play, I can’t see a case for the Thunder being underdogs in this matchup.
OKC has outscored its opponents by 37 points in the first two games of the SLC Summer League, and now they face a Sixers team that sat its top two players, Paul Reed and Isaiah Joe, on Wednesday.
I think OKC is worth a shot as a moneyline dog tonight.
Lean: Thunder ML (+105)
