Thunder vs. Spurs prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (How to bet total)

The Thunder and Spurs could be in line for a low-scoring game on Sunday, July 16.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs began as two of the most exciting teams in the Summer League, but they’ve pulled most of their star young players from playing at this stage in the summer.

Jalen Williams, Jaylin Williams, Chet Holmgren and Tre Mann will not play on Sunday, and the same can be said for the Spurs. Julian Champagnie, Victor Wembanyama and Malaki Branham all did not play in the team’s last game and are done for the summer.

This is a consolation game, but it is still one for players to showcase their game. Rookie Cason Wallace is looking to show the Thunder that he can make a push for a rotation spot in the 2023-24 season.

Here are the latest odds and my best bet for the Thunder-Spurs matchup on Sunday:

Thunder vs. Spurs prediction and pick

I don’t love taking either side with so many key players sitting out, but I do think that gives some value to the total.

The Thunder scored just 89 points in their last game, and they’ve scored over 92 points just once in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have scored 80 or less points in three of their four games in Las Vegas, including just 73 points in their loss to the Detroit Pistons.

Jared Butler, Wallace and Ousmane Dieng are likely the top offensive options for the Thunder, which is a huge drop off from earlier this summer.

I’ll take the UNDER in what should be a little bit of an offensive struggle.

Pick: UNDER 179.5 (-110)
