The Minnesota Timberwolves are really starting to solidify themselves as a playoff team in the Western Conference. They’ve now gotten to within 2.5 games of the No. 6 seeded Denver Nuggets with a recent five-game winning streak.

Tonight, the Wolves will get a struggling division rival in the Oklahoma City Thunder who have lost three straight and seven of their last 10.

Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell have the Wolves’ offense humming as of late, and that’s a bad sign for OKC, who ranks dead last in the NBA in offensive rating.

Let’s get into the odds for this game via WynnBET

Thunder vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick

If you’ve been following my NBA Best Bets column, you know where I’m heading in this game, as I’ll probably take Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s points prop considering he’s gone over in all seven games since returning after the All-Star break.

However, I do think you have to fade the Thunder in this spot, even though they’ve been so great at covering the spread this season.

Minnesota has been extremely hot, winning five straight and eight of it’s last 10, and they just blew out the Portland Trail Blazers by 43 on Monday.

OKC is in the second night of a back-to-back, and while they're 6-4 ATS in that spot this season, they're also shorthanded with Lu Dort, Josh Giddey and others banged up.

SGA is playing some of the best basketball of his career, but the team around him is so suspect that it’s led to the Thunder losing by 13 or more points in four of their last five games.

For a team that is No. 30 in offensive rating, facing the Timberwolves’ fast-paced attack is going to be a nightmare on the road.

Lean: Wolves -15.5 (-110)
