Just because college football and NFL are in full swing, let's not forget about the CFL! That's right, the Canadian Football League.

I finally get to flex my Canadian muscles and talk about our very own version of the sport. This weekend's action promises to be electric, as the divisions will have its final games with the winners advancing to the Grey Cup, our version of the Super Bowl.

In the East, the Toronto Argonauts will host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The Ti-Cats were last season's division champions, but fell to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the final. This year, it's the Argos who held the top spot in the East at 9-5. Hamilton finished 8-6 in the regular season, but bested the Montreal Alouettes last week in the division semi-finals.

Here are the odds via WynnBET for this weekend's East Division Final.

Tiger-Cats vs. Argonauts Odds, Spread, and Total

Spread:

  • Tiger-Cats +1 (-110)
  • Argonauts -1 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Tiger-Cats -105
  • Argonauts -115

Total:

  • 45.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Tiger-Cats vs. Argonauts Prediction and Pick

If you ignore their records and look at statistics only, the Tiger-Cats might just be the second best team in the CFL next to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. They hold statistical advantages in all four aspects of the game, and should be the favorites in the East Division Final.

On offense, Hamilton averages 8.2 yards per pass attempt and 5.2 yards per carry. Both marks are better than the Argos, who average 7.4 and 4.8 in those two categories respectively.

On defense, The Ti-Cats allow the second first yards per pass attempt at 7.3, and the fewest yards per carry at 4.2. Once again, they rank better than the Argos in both of those stats. Toronto allows 7.8 yards per pass attempt and it is last in the league in run defense, allowing an average of 5.7 yards per carry.

Back the Tiger-Cats to advance to their second consecutive Grey Cup.

Pick: Hamilton Tiger-Cats -105
