Tigers vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds for Friday, July 29 (Back Manoah Against Detroit)
By Josh Yourish
Detroit dropped Game 1 up in Toronto after hopping across their northern border for a four-game series. The Blue Jays have now won 10 of 12 games and hold second in the AL East with 55 wins and 44 losses. Detroit is 40-60, in fourth in the AL Central and planning to sell off some assets at the upcoming deadline.
Alek Manoah will bring his 11-4 record and 2.24 ERA to the mound on Friday to face one of the worst offenses in baseball in the Tigers. The visitors will counter with Bryan Garcia.

Tigers vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Pick
Yesterday, I fell for this exact trap that was laid out in front of me by our friends at the WynnBET Sportsbook. The Dodgers were giving 2.5 on the run line with Tyler Anderson on the mound and there were a couple of indicators that maybe Colorado was going to get to the LA lefty. So, I took the bait with Rockies +2.5. I watched the line fall all day until it was +1.5, and I went into the night thinking I had got wonderful value. Then the Dodgers went on to win 13-0.
I will not fall for the same trap again, I’m simply refusing to do it. The Blue Jays are hot and Alek Manoah is a great pitcher. He was solid his last time out at Fenway Park, and even though the Red Sox are struggling, they are not nearly as bad as the Tigers.
Matt Chapman is looking like a really solid addition to the Toronto lineup and worth the price they paid this offseason. He has three doubles and five home runs while hitting .459 in his last ten games.
Toronto is rolling and I am not taking the bait this time.
Pick: Blue Jays -2.5 (-115)
