Tigers vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds for Sunday, July 31 (Blue Jays End Series Strong At Home)
The likely playoff-bound Toronto Blue Jays wrap up their four-game series against the last place basement-dwelling Detroit Tigers in the early game of the day on Sunday.
Toronto's bats have been a little sleepy against Detroit in the first few games of the series, especially coming off a sweep of the Boston Red Sox and split of the St. Louis Cardinals. In those five games post All-Star break, the Blue Jays dropped a total of 51 runs against their opponents.
Not being able to win a series vs. an awful team like Detroit at home would be a gut-punch for Toronto. Are they up for the challenge today at the Rogers Centre?

Tigers vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds
Both of these pitchers, at least statistically, have been relatively the same over their last five starts. They’ve allowed around 3 runs per outing, haven’t kept the ball in the park all that much and go anywhere from five to six innings.
If the pitching is the same on both sides, I trust the Blue Jays to run away with this game – as their offense is far superior. Toronto’s offense has been on fire as of late, not to mention it’ll be at home also.
The Blue Jays – when playing at home – have the second-best OPS, are top 5 in runs scored and hit the third-most home runs. They are extremely comfortable inside Rogers Centre, and I think that stays true in this early matchup.
On the other side, the Tigers have the worst OPS, hit the least amount of home runs and score the least amount of runs when on the road.
This matchup just isn’t for them.
LEAN: Blue Jays -1.5 (-125)
