Tigers vs. Twins Prediction and Odds for Wednesday, May 25 (Fade Both Starters in AL Central Clash)
By Matt De Saro
The Minnesota Twins were back on track last week after a brief stumble that saw them lose five of eight games. Two series against the A’s and one against the Royals are exactly what any team would need to get back in the groove and the Twins made the most of those games by going 9-1 straight up in those games. The Twins entered this series coming off a sweep of the Royals and proceeded to steal Game 1 with some late-game magic. Can Minnesota put together a repeat performance or will the Tigers pull out an underdog win to close out this series?

Tigers vs. Twins Prediction and Pick
Beau Brieske is on the hunt for his first win of the year and will enter this game at 0-3 with a 5.13 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 26 ⅓ innings. His ERA is a bit of an issue, but it's Brieske’s strikeout to walk rate that really makes me question his long-term future. The rookie has 15 strikeouts this year compared to 11 walks. Brieske has already pitched multiple games where he’s walked more batters than he’s struck out. Once in a while, this is ok. Brieske is making a habit out of it and It will come back to bite him sooner or later. He hasn’t faced the Twins yet in the Majors but already got beaten up by the A’s and the Rockies who are two pretty poor offenses.
Things aren’t much better on the Minnesota side of things with Dylan Bundy getting the start. Bundy has been pretty bad in his first season with the Twins with a 3-2 record in six starts with an ERA of 5.14 and WHIP of 1.32. His K/BB rate is far better, but that is about all Bundy is doing well. He hasn’t made it out of the third inning in his last two starts and is pitching more like Kelly Bundy.
I think these offenses continue to put up good numbers and send this total over before the final pitch is thrown.
