We had a doozy in Minnesota on Monday with a series of unfortunate events in the field leading to a Twins walk off victory.

The Twins were able to stage a miraculous comeback against their AL Central rival Detroit Tigers and now will look to make this a winning series on Wednesday night.

Here is the video from the shocking comeback.

What do these two teams have in store for us next? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

  • Twins: -1.5 (+112)

Moneyline:

  • Tigers: +163
  • Twins: -177

Total: 7 (Over -125/Under +105)

Tigers vs. Twins Prediction and Pick

This is a battle between two teams that have struggled on offense and are getting fantastic production from their respective starters.

Let's start with the offenses. Each has been middling to start the season, Minnesota is 16th and Detroit is 18th in wRC+ which is a a normalized rate of run scoring chances for park factors. So, they haven't been explosive by any means.

Now each team will get surging starters, starting with the Twins Joe Ryan. He has been fantastic to start his second season in the big leagues, posting a 1.69 ERA and posting a WHIP (walks, hits per inning pitched) of .875. Against an average Tigers lineup, I expect the budding star to keep it rolling on Wednesday.

The Tigers will counter with Michael Pineda, who looked great in his first start of the season last week, tossing 5 shutout innings against the Yankees. Pineda does a good job of limiting walks (2 per 9 innings over his career) and should continue his solid start to 2022.

I can't back the Twins at this price as I don't see the difference all that great between these two, but I'm expecting both pitchers to have their way and a low scoring affair.

LEAN: UNDER 7 (+105)
