The Cleveland Cavaliers return from their road trip to face a spiraling Minnesota Timberwolves team.

The Cavs have proven that the Donovan Mitchell trade was worth it already, jumping to the top of the Eastern Conference, will they return home from a west coast wing and further their claim amongst the league's elite. They are home favorites against a Timberwolves team that is not finding as much success with Mitchell's former teammate Rudy Gobert.

Minnesota is 5-8 on the year and struggling to find an identity on both sides of the floor, can they find their rhythm against a quality foe?

Here are the odds for this Sunday showdown:

Timberwolves vs. Cavaliers Prediction and Pick

The Timberwolves are out of sorts on both sides of the floor. Even though the team brought in the three-time Defensive Player of the Year, the Twin Towers approach with Karl-Anthony Towns has not worked. Minnesota is bottom 10 in points allowed per 100 possessions as teams are attacking the team's oversized front court.

This can be problematic against one of the most versatile teams in the league with two high end pick-and-roll ball handlers in Mitchell and Garland that anchor the fourth best offense in basketball in terms of points per 100 possessions. Further, the Cavs are sixth in effective field goal percentage.

Ultimately, I don't believe the T'Wolves have the defensive foundation to hold down the Cavs while Cleveland has it together on that end, ranking second in points allowed per 100 possessions. The team matches up nicely with the size of Minnesota with their own Twin Towers of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley.

I think Cleveland wins this one going away and hands Minnesota another concerning loss.

LEAN: Cavaliers -6
