Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies Prediction and Odds for Game 5 (Grizz Are Strong as Home Favorites)
By Peter Dewey
The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to salvage their two games at home, as they won Game 4 to even the series with the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
Now, these teams will head into Tuesday night’s showdown with two days of rest at their disposal.
These two teams are very evenly matched, but the stars (Karl-Anthony Towns, Ja Morant, Anthony Edwards) have had off nights at times that have swung games towards one team.
Here are the odds for Tuesday’s clash via WynnBET:
Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Wolves +6.5 (-108)
- Grizzlies -6.5 (-108)
Moneyline:
- Wolves: +200
- Grizzlies: -250
Total:
- 233 (Over -108/Under -108)
Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies Prediction and Pick
Even though the Timberwolves won Game 4, I simply cannot trust this team after all of the leads it has blown in this series.
The Grizzlies nearly stole Game 4, even though Ja Morant scored just 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting, and now they will be back at home where they are 20-12 against the spread as favorites.
The Wolves are going to need a big game from Towns, but the key has been foul trouble on both sides. The Grizzlies have struggled when Jaren Jackson Jr. is forced to sit, while Towns’ foul trouble cost the Wolves in Game 3.
If Memphis can turn things around in that department in Game 5, I think the Grizz are clearly the better team at home.
Lean: Grizzlies -6.5 (-108)
