Titans vs. Patriots Prediction and Pick

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I've been on my soap box over the past week about how I think the Titans are frauds. At 8-2, I was adamant that they aren't as good of a football team as their record indicates, and my take was justified when the Titans lost as double-digit favorites to the Texans on the weekend.

I can't go back on my take now, so I'll be backing the Patriots this weekend. Not only has New England been on a hot streak as of late, but their statistics have backed up their record, especially on the defensive end. They rank third in opponent yards per play, third in red zone defense, and sixth in third down defense.

Now they get to face a Titans offense that ranks 24th in yards per play, and they've been even worse with Derrick Henry out of the lineup. Through their last three games, they rank 29th in yards per play, averaging only 4.5.

Don't let the Titans No. 1 seed in the AFC fool you into thinking six points is too big of a spread. Back the Patriots at -6.

Pick: Patriots -6
