Titans vs. Texans Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 8
By Josh Yourish
It feels like the beginning of the season has been an AFC South round robin tournament. Week 7, the Tennessee Titans grabbed control of the division by sweeping the season series against the Colts. The Titans are now 4-2 after an 0-2 start and heading to Houston to face the 1-4-1 Texans. Houston is coming off a loss to the Raiders last week and is the only one win team remaining in the AFC.
It’s the week of home underdogs across the league, so let’s check out the odds and see how many points Houston is getting at home.

Titans vs. Texans Prediction and Pick
Mike Vrabel is establishing himself as one of the truly reliable head coaches in the NFL. Even after an 0-2 start he was able to right the ship and his team has ripped off four straight. It’s becoming Derrick Henry season, that time of year when there's a chill in the air and Henry starts ripping off 200 yard games. Last week he went for 128 on 30 carries. He may not be as explosive but he was still able to pound the ball down the throat of the Colts defense.
If you want an explosive running back, look no further than Dameon Pierce. He is the rookie running back in Houston who is the focal point of their entire offense. Though it might be tough sledding for him against Jeffrey Simmons and the fourth ranked Tennessee run defense. Davis Mills actually played fairly well against the Raiders too. He went 28-for-41 for 302 yards and two touchdowns with one interception to go along with Pierce's 92 yards on the ground. Houston actually outgained Las Vegas 404-400 in the loss.
The Titans are a heavily bet team early in the week as 79% of the action is on the road favorites, but I think we need to take a stand.
It’s going to feel really gross, but we have to fade the public on this one. Home dogs are 18-24 straight up this year and 21-19-2 ATS. It feels horrible, but over time, fading huge public bets is always the way to go. Plus Houston has owned Tennessee against the spread, they are 15-6-1 ATS in the last 22 matchups.
Pick: Houston +2 (-107)
