Tom Brady Has More Playoff Wins Than 28 NFL Teams
By Jon Helmkamp
Tom Brady is the GOAT. We know this. It’s an undisputed fact at this point. Seemingly every week, some other record is falling at the hands of Brady’s miraculous accomplishments, and stats are provided to help contextualize just how absurdly great his career has been.
Love him or hate him, his excellence is in a tier unto itself.
Tom Brady has Done a lot of Winning
This might be the most absurd stat that I’ve ever seen. In his NFL career, Brady alone has won 35 playoff games. That’s more than 28 NFL teams. He’s one win away from tying the Steelers and the Packers for 2nd place on the list behind his former team, the New England Patriots, who are on top of the list at 37.
If the Packers lose and Tom Brady and the Buccaneers win, he’ll join Green Bay and Pittsburgh. If Brady goes on to win the Super Bowl, he will be alone at the top of the list with more playoff wins than any other franchise in the history of the NFL.
Brady isn’t slowing down
It’s amazing that Brady isn’t slowing down at 44-years-old. He looks as sharp as ever, and set a career high in passing yards with 5,316 this year, a full decade after his previous high-water mark of 5,235. He led the NFL with 43 passing touchdowns this year, and also led the league with 312.7 passing yards per game.
The machine that is Tom Brady keeps on chugging. He dispatched the Philadelphia Eagles with ease on Sunday, and will await the winner of the Rams and the Cardinals for his divisional round matchup. Ho-hum. No Chris Godwin, no Antonio Brown, no Leonard Fournette or Ronald Jones out of the backfield… and it just doesn’t matter. Brady continues to be excellent and is a real threat to reach his 11th Super Bowl in less than a month.
