Top MLB Picks and Predictions Today (Runs Across The Border, Two AL East Favorites to Dominate On Saturday)
Every MLB team is in action on Saturday and we are all over it.
The BetSided crew of Reed Wallach, Donnavan Smoot and Matt De Saro have you covered with their picks for these three games, via WynnBET Sportsbook.
Red Sox vs. Orioles Prediction and Pick
We’re getting a little bit of value here on the Red Sox. In the 10 games before the Baltimore series started, Boston played the Blue Jays seven times. It’s hard playing a divisional rival that’s better than you seven times in less than two weeks. People are sleeping on Boston today, which shouldn’t be the case considering how bad the Orioles offense is.
Baltimore is last in the Majors in runs per game, 26th in OPS, 29th in home runs per game and 22nd in hits per game. They aren’t good on offense and have already lost to the Red Sox. The Orioles are on a five-game losing streak and haven’t covered in any of them.
I know Boston’s record isn’t fantastic, but the Orioles shouldn’t get any of your confidence.
Lean: Red Sox -1.5 (-110) -- Donnavan Smoot

Astros vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Pick
The Astros offense is starting to break out, scoring 11 runs in the series opener against the Blue Jays, and now get an opportunity to jump on a struggling José Berríos. The Toronto starter has an ERA of 4.91 and his advanced metrics are even worse, posting a 5.06 FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) and is struggling to find his punch out pitch, striking out below 8 batters per 9 innings (lowest since his rookie season).
I like Houston to get their fair share against Berríos, but it's going to be tough to keep down the Blue Jays lineup. The team is top five in slugging percentage and will get third year starter Luis Garcia while he struggles. After he finished second in AL Rookie of the Year voting, Garcia has had a slow to start to 2022, posting a 4.60 ERA with a 4.57 FIP.
Ultimately, I think this is a clear over play. Yes, it's at 8.5, but getting even money on it is worthwhile as each pitcher still looks for their footing in 2022 and two explosive offense.
LEAN: OVER 8.5 (+100) -- Reed Wallach

Yankees vs. Royals Prediction and Pick
The odds make it pretty clear that the Royals have an uphill battle to win tonight. Carlos Hernandez gets the start for KC here and I will be fading him for the second time in a row. Hernandez brings an unsightly 6.43 ERA and 1.79 WHIP into tonight’s game after three straight ineffective starts. He has given up at least three runs in each appearance and twice has walked more than he’s struck out. And he won’t be getting much run support from this anemic offense. The Royals have lost six of their last eight games and I am not a fan of their chances to turn things around tonight.
As much as I still don’t trust him, I have to expect Cole to turn in another quality start here. Nothing about the Royals batting order is all that scary and Cole has the stuff to shut down even the best teams.
Pick: Yankees -1.5 (-140) -- Matt De Saro
