It's hard not to appreciate playoff baseball, especially after the wild slate of games we had on Tuesday night.

The Seattle Mariners blew a major lead against the Houston Astros, allowing a walk off homer to Yordan Alvarez, and the Philadelphia Phillies upset the Atlanta Braves in Game 1. The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers handled their business, but there's not doubt that we had plenty to entertain us in the first set of games.

Two more NLDS games are on tap on Wednesday night, and the BetSided team has few picks for these matchups:

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves Odds, Prediction and Pick

I’m not going to overreact to a poor showing in Game 1 from the Braves.

They are the more talented team, and I think Kyle Wright is the perfect guy to have on the mound in this matchup. The Braves were an impressive 24-6 in Wright’s 30 starts this season. He’s pitched 19.0 innings against the Phillies this season, going 2-1 in those starts and holding the Phillies to just six runs.

Zack Wheeler was solid in his three outings against the Braves this season, allowing five earned runs across 20 innings pitched. The Phillies went 2-1 in those games.

As great as Wheeler is, the ninth inning of Tuesday’s game showed the concern that there is for the Phillies: their bullpen.

With closer David Robertson out with a calf injury, I think Atlanta can hang around enough to pounce on this pen once Wheeler leaves the game. I can’t see the Braves losing both games in Atlanta, so I’ll lay the price with their moneyline in this Game 2 matchup.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Odds Prediction and Pick

The Dodgers scored five quick runs in Game 1, behind a pair of hits from shortstop Trea Turner, giving Julio Urias plenty of cushion to cruise to a win.

Things won’t come as easy against Yu Darivsh, who pitched relatively well against the Dodgers this season. Darvish allowed seven runs across 25.0 innings (four starts) against Los Angeles this season. Five of those runs came in one game, so he really dominated in the other three outings, posting a six-inning, one-hit performance early in the season and a seven-inning, two-hit performance in his last outing against L.A. on Sept. 2.

Clayton Kershaw made just two starts against the Padres this season, allowing one earned run in 12 innings pitched.

Both of these starters come into this game pitching well, as Kershaw closed the regular season with a 1.54 ERA in his final seven starts after being activated off the injured list. Darvish, who dominated the Mets in the wild card, hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start since Aug. 13.

With that in mind, I really like the UNDER in this game, especially at plus money.

The Dodgers were No. 2 in MLB in bullpen ERA this season, and both of these starters could give some serious length in this game as well. After a rather average offensive game on Tuesday, even with Clevinger pitching, I think we’re due for a low-scoring battle in Game 2.

Zack Wheeler OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+108)

Wheeler has been limited in his four starts off a month long stint on the injury list, and we have seen nothing but elite form from the Phillies ace, allowing just one earned run.

He has only pitched past the sixth inning once, but his experience against the Braves is leading me to go OVER this number. Wheeler has faced Atlanta three times this season and has gone over this number in each one. He has shown no sign of being effected by the elbow injury and I think we get more than enough work for him to get to six K's . -- Reed Wallach
