With just one game going down this afternoon between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians, we've got 15 games to consider wagers on for this Tuesday in the Big Leagues.

If you're wondering why it wouldn't be 14 with every team in action, the White Sox and Guardians will do it again from Progressive Field later tonight for Game 2 of a day/night doubleheader.

Every day, the BetSided crew breaks down every game on the MLB schedule with complete betting previews, analysis and picks to get your wagers ready for the games ahead.

Here are our team's top MLB picks and predictions for Tuesday, July 12, withall odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Dodgers vs. Cardinals Odds, Prediction and Pick

Run Line:

  • Dodgers -1.5 (+105) | Cardinals +1.5 (-125)

Moneyline:

  • Dodgers -152 | Cardinals +142

Total:

  • 8.5 (OVER -120 | UNDER +100)

The surging Dodgers, winners of 11 of their last 12 games, should stay scorching-hot against Matthew Liberatore and the Cardinals. I'll consistently fade the young left-hander moving forward. With a 5.49 expected ERA and a MLB Statcast Pitching Profile that's covered in blue, it might as well have a "FADE ME" sign on it:

Pretty gross.

As for the Dodgers, starter Mitch White has a 1.88 ERA over his last four starts. Look for L.A. to improve to 7-2 in their last nine as road favorites thanks to the advantage White provides over Liberatore.

Padres vs. Rockies Odds, Prediction and Pick

Run Line:

  • Padres -1.5 (+110) | Rockies +1.5 (-130)

Moneyline:

  • Padres -131 | Rockies +121

Total:

  • 11 (OVER -110 | UNDER -110)

Padres starter Mike Clevinger has been very solid since coming off of the injured list with a triceps strain, allowing eight runs across 21 innings and striking out three batters for every one walk. He faces a Rockies squad that's been much better at home in the hitter-friendly Coors Field, but just 26th in wRC+ since the start of July.

Meanwhile, San Diego loves to get away from home, going from bottom 10 to top 10 in wRC+ when the team leaves Petco Park. San Diego will also welcome the opportunity to face left-hander Austin Gomber who owns an ERA of 6.64 at home this season.

The Padres are the better team with a better pitcher. We saw it on Monday, and we'll likely see it again, so I'll be jumping on the short price.

LEAN: Padres ML -131

Baltimore Orioles vs. Chicago Cubs Odds, Prediction and Pick

Run Line:

  • Orioles +1.5 (-190) | Cubs -1.5 (+155)

Moneyline:

  • Orioles +105 | Cubs -115

Total:

  • 9 (OVER -125 | UNDER +105)

This has all the familiar symptoms of a trap game for public bettors.

The Orioles have won eight in a row, tied for the longest current win streak with the Seattle Mariners, while also accomplishing this in the best division in baseball. One more win would put them at .500, the latest they've been at this mark in several years.

So why are the Cubs favored, and why is the line continuing to back Chicago?

The pitching matchup may tell the story. Right hander Jordan Lyles (5-7, 4.50 ERA) has been ok for Baltimore, but despite his Fielder Independent Pitching, or (FIP) coming in lower than his ERA (4.15),his expected ERA (xERA) at Fangraphs is actually a full run higher (5.52).

The Cubs counter with Adrian Sampson, who used to be the guy you'd bet against almost every time he got on the mound. But since arriving in Chicago, he's been a completely different pitcher. In 57 total innings in Chicago, he has a 2.84 ERA. Via NBC Sports Chicago's Gordon Wittenmyer, Sampson's career ERA outside of pitching in a Cubs uniform is 5.71 in 153 IP.

Vegas is laying the trap for the public to see the red-hot Orioles and jump on-board as slight underdogs. I'm not going to fall for it, and will back the Cubs at home instead.
