It's rare that we get a 16-game slate in Major League Baseball, but what about 17 games in action?

That's what we have on Wednesday night, with the New York Yankees and New York Mets both playing doubleheaders. So, for the BetSided team, it means even more picks we can give you for tonight's MLB action.

Using the odds from FanDuel, here are some of our top plays for Sept. 7:

Chicago White Sox vs. Seattle Mariners Odds, Prediction and Pick

Initially, I thought about betting the UNDER in this game, and then I looked at Kopech’s numbers over the past month and decided to move off of that play.

Michael Kopech posted a 5.24 ERA in the month of August, with Chicago winning just one of his five starts. In his last start, he failed to get an out against the Kansas City Royals before giving up four runs.

That isn’t going to play against Luis Castillo, who has a 2.39 ERA since getting traded to Seattle at the trade deadline. The Mariners are 4-2 in his starts, winning three of those by two or more runs.

This is too lopsided of a pitching matchup, especially with the Mariners playing well (winners of eight of their last 10) to stay away from the favorite.

San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Odds, Prediction and Pick

Last season, the Giants and Dodgers were in a winner-take-all game to go to the NLCS. They’re no longer on equal footing, and the Dodgers’ record against the Giants this season proves it.

The Dodgers are 11-4 SU and on the run line against San Francisco this year. The only games they haven’t covered in were the ones they lost. If they’re winning, its by more than one run. That’s been the case all season long and it’ll hold true tonight.

With Clayton Kershaw on the mound, Los Angeles has an edge at the pitching spot. In his last five starts, he allowed just over 2 runs per start.

Los Angeles has won nine of the last 10 matchups with the Giants, so expect more dominance tonight

Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees Game 2 Odds, Prediction and Pick

Could we see some starters sit in Game 2 of this doubleheader? It’s certainly possible, and I was on the UNDER in this game before it was rained out on Tuesday.

Four of Gerrit Cole’s last five starts for New York have ended with fewer than 6.5 total runs, and he’s been pitching well over that stretch, compiling a 2.16 ERA. Somehow, the Yankees have lost four of those games, and it’s mainly because they have one of the worst offenses in baseball over the last month.

Over the last 30 days, New York is 29th in OPS and 29th in runs scored. Joe Ryan has cooled off for Minnesota since his hot start to the 2022 season, but he’s still capable of slowing down a Yankees lineup that has scored three or fewer runs in eight of its last 10 games.

Keep fading the New York offense until the Yankees put together more than just one or two games of solid offense.
