Top NBA Picks and Predictions Today (Back Thunder As Underdogs)
The NBA has already started its Saturday slate, but we still have a ton of games to bet on.
There are several teams on the second day of a back-to-back and looking to move up the standings in the conference.
Let’s go through the rest of the games on today and see the best plays from the BetSided team.
Thunder vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick
Over the last 10 games, the Oklahoma City Thunder have a better offensive rating than the TImberwolves – who are still without Karl-Anthony Towns. The Thunder have also had several days off and are coming off a solid win against the San Antonio Spurs.
Minnesota got a good win against the Grizzlies, but is also 1-3 SU in its last four games. The T-Wolves haven’t played well, allowing over 130 points in two of its last three games. If the Thunder can take advantage of a suspect defense, they can go into Minnesota and keep it close.
The Timberwolves have struggled in this spot. They are 3-6 ATS as home favorites this year. The stats say the Thunder can at least keep it close and I doubt the Timberwolves – who have already lost twice to the Thunder this year – are four possessions better.
Rockets vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick
Since James Harden’s departure, the Warriors have dominated this matchup against the Rockets. They’ve won seven straight games and have won by double-digits in five of those meetings.
The Rockets played, and beat, the Suns last night – who had won nine straight games against them prior. Yet, I don’t think Houston has it within themselves to beat two of the better teams in the league on a back-to-back.
Houston is 2-1 ATS with no rest, so if there was a spot to back the Rockets tonight it would be on the spread. However, the last 10 games say the Warriors should win this easily. Golden State is seventh in net rating, while the Rockets are 24th in that span.
At home, I’ll put my money on Steph Curry.
Trail Blazers vs. Jazz Prediction and Pick
At this point in time, these two teams are about even to me. Utah can't seem to defend anymore, and that should help out a Blazers team that is 17th in offensive rating over the last 10 games.
Portland is still without Damian Lillard, who should be coming back soon. However, that puts the entire offense on Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant – which hasn’t proven to be an issue for Grant. Over the last five games, Grant is averaging over 30 points per game and shooting nearly 50% from three.
If Utah fails to keep Grant from having another big game, Portland can easily go into Salt Lake City and win this game.
