Top NBA Picks and Predictions Today (Cavaliers, 76ers Great Picks ATS)
The NBA is making up for a one game Thursday night with an 11-game Friday night. We have a few rematches going on around the league (Heat-Celtics) and some teams getting healthy again ready to get back in the win column (Raptors-Nets).
Tonight, BetSided has you covered with the best game picks of the night.
Out of the 11 games, here are my three favorite plays of the night.
Magic vs. Cavaliers Prediction and Pick
The Cavs bounced back in a big way against the Philadelphia 76ers. They dominated on both ends of the floor, and I expect them to do the same against a worse Orlando Magic team.
Orlando’s season was defined early by being in close games and not finishing, but the Magic haven’t been able to stay close lately. They’ve lost three of their last five games by 17 points or more, which is obviously a problem. Even with Paolo Banchero back, the Cavaliers should cruise to a win.
They have the better defense, better offensive engines and are at home for this game. Cleveland is 7-1-1 ATS as a home favorite and 9-1 SU at home. They’ve cruised before, and they’ll cruise tonight.
76ers vs. Grizzlies Prediction and Pick
Philly is still missing its top guards, but this is a great line to back the 76ers with. The Grizzlies are 5-3 ATS, just over .500, as a home favorite. Philadelphia is 5-5 ATS on the road. Neither of these teams are dominant in this spot, so I’ll take the 76ers. Embiid’s inside presence should be a problem for the smaller Jaren Jackson Jr. on offense and should frustrate Ja Morant’s drives on defense.
Philadelphia’s strength tonight will be its defense, which has traveled extremely well this year. The 76ers are fourth in defensive rating on the road. Although the Grizzlies are 8th in offensive rating at home, Philly still has a great source of offense in Embiid – who has missed five road games this year.
Memphis also hasn’t been stellar ATS following a loss. The Grizzlies are 3-5 ATS after a loss this year. While it’s very possible Memphis wins tonight, I don’t see covering in the cards.
Pacers vs. Jazz Prediction and Pick
Even with a high total tonight, I like the OVER. The Jazz, despite the losing streak, are one of the best offensive teams in the league. They are 3rd in the NBA in offensive rating and are 13-11 against the OVER.
While the Pacers are .500 against the OVER, they are still just outside the top 10 in offensive rating. On top of that, they have Tyrese Haliburton, who’s been absolutely amazing. He is setting his teammates up with perfect dimes and can orchestrate a good offense against the Jazz – who are 25th in defensive rating.
These are two teams who aren’t new to having high totals. The offensive firepower of both teams and the poor defense of Utah is all we need to root for points on a Friday night.
