Top NBA Picks and Predictions for Feb. 15 (Trust Grizzlies, Celtics, Cavaliers as Favorites)
Who should you bet in the NBA on Tuesday night?
The BetSided editor duo of Peter Dewey and Donnavan Smoot has you covered with some of the top picks for the slate of games on Feb. 15.
Let's get into the top predictions with all odds via WynnBET:
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks Prediction and Pick
The Hawks may be the most bizarre team to bet on in the NBA. Last week, I noticed that they hadn’t covered the spread in a loss all season, and that has continued entering this game.
Atlanta is currently 0-30 against the spread when it loses and 24-2 against the spread when it wins the game. Absolutely nuts.
Atlanta has been an underdog at home just five times this season, going 2-3 ATS in those games, and I think the Hawks could be looking at another loss tonight.
Losing Collins is killer against the frontcourt of Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and Kevin Love, and Atlanta is just 2-4 when Collins is out of the lineup this season and 22-47 all time when he misses a game.
Cleveland has been elite against the spread all season, as it has the third best ATS record in the NBA at 34-20-3. With Garland back in the lineup, this is a perfect spot to back the Cavs on the road.
Pick: Cavs -1.5 (-110) -- Peter Dewey

Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction and Pick
The Celtics continue to win games based on their defense and it is shooting them up the Eastern Conference standings right now. With James Harden not expected to make his debut until after the All-Star break, this is a perfect chance for the Celtics to get another win against a short-handed Sixers team.
In Philly's defense, they have won two straight and even beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, nobody is playing defense like the Celtics right now.
Boston is now No. 2 in the entire league in defensive rating on the season and has a sub-100 defensive rating over the last 10 games.
Unless Embiid has another superhero performance, which is still possible, I don't see the Sixers winning this game.
Lean: Celtics -2.5 (-110) -- Donnavan Smoot

Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans Prediction and Pick
The Grizzlies are the best team in the NBA against the spread this season, going 39-19, and they’ve been on an insane covering run since Christmas Day, going 20-5 ATS.
This is a great spot for Memphis, as the Pelicans are just 5-5 against the spread in the second game of a back-to-back this season.
The Pelicans have been playing much better as of late, and I discussed why the McCollum trade makes a ton of sense for their play-in hopes, but I don’t think they’ll be able to hold of this Memphis team on Tuesday.
Six of the Grizzlies last eight wins have come by double-digits, so as long as Ja Morant (questionable) plays in this game, I’ll be backing Memphis.
Lean: Grizzlies -4 (-110) -- Peter Dewey
Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat Prediction and Pick
The Heat blew the Mavs out earlier this season, but I think tonight will be a lot closer. Dallas has a revamped roster and will throw something at Miami that it hasn't seen from them this season.
Dallas has a slightly better net rating than the Heat over the last 10 games, giving me a little hope it can keep this game close.
The Heat have had several blowout wins over the course of the last few weeks, but none of those were against legitimate playoff teams. The Mavericks are 5-6 ATS when at least a 3.5-point underdog. I think they can improve that record tonight against a Heat team that hasn't been great on offense in recent weeks
Lean: Mavericks +3.5 (-110) -- Donnavan Smoot
