Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets Odds, Prediction and Pick
The Dolphins are going to be without Tua Tagovailoa, which means that it’s Teddy Bridgewater time. Bridgewater has been great against the spread in his career, but I don’t think this game is about him.
Miami is going to be just fine this week because of its playmakers. With Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill on the outside, all Miami has to do is get them the ball early and let their speed take care of the rest.
New York is 24th in the league in opponent yards per pass. Even though Bridgewater isn’t known for his deep ball, he should be able to make one play that opens the game up.
Zach Wilson is still getting back into the rhythm of things, despite looking solid last week.
However, the speed of Hill and Waddle is a backbreaker against a middling defense like the Jets.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams Odds, Prediction and Pick
The Rams offense might be in trouble. They're 31st in yards per play, heading into this game. Only the Washington Commanders are averaging fewer yards per play than the Rams.
With that being said, I think this is a perfect example of a buy low, sell high spot. We should buy low on the Rams and sell high on the Cowboys. Let's not forget that despite the Rams offensive woes, they're the only team in the league who has played the top two defenses in the first four weeks.
Also, let's remember that while Cooper Rush and this Cowboys offense has done its job when it comes to beating bad teams, they still only rank 20th in yards per play and 30th in third down conversion percentage.
Let's back the Rams in a big bounce back spot for Los Angeles.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Arizona Cardinals Odds, Prediction and Pick
This game is simple. if you want to back the statistics and the numbers, take the Eagles to cover the spread. If you want to go off of intuition or gut feeling, then maybe consider the Cardinals.
Arizona has stunk this season, and if you base the your handicapping on the results of previous games, this is a no-brainer. The Cardinals rank 29th in yards per play and 27th in opponent yards per play. The Eagles, by comparison, rank 5th in yards per play and 3rd in opponent yards per play.
In order for the Eagles for take a step forward this season, they needed Jalen Hurts to take a step forward, and they needed to have a successful pas rush. Well, through the first four weeks, Jalen Hurts is an MVP candidate and the Eagles rank 3rd in the NFL in sack percentage.
I'd say that's a success story.
Let's not overthink this game. Back the Eagles.
