If you're like me, you may be looking to bet on something other than March Madness after a rough day of bets yesterday. It's time for me to return to ol' faithful, the NHL.

With a handful of games set for tonight's slate, I've identified a few good spots that I think have value from a betting standpoint. Here are my top three bets for tonight's action.

All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Capitals vs. Hurricanes Prediction and Pick

Just because the Capitals have been hot lately, doesn't mean it's time to start betting on them. The Hurricanes remain one of the best teams in the NHL, and fading them at home is a dangerous move. Over each team's last 10 games, Carolina ranks first in CORSI percentage, sixth in expected goals for, and fourth in expected goals against.

Washington ranks 24th, 17th, and sixth in those three stats respectively.

Both teams will be playing in the second leg of a back-to-back, but its the Capitals who will be on their second straight road games. It's Hurricanes or nothing for me tonight.

Pick: Hurricanes -150

Bruins vs. Jets Prediction and Pick

The Bruins are one of the hottest teams in the NHL, and now is not the time to start fading them. They rank sixth in CORSI% in their last 10 games, and continue to be one of the best defensive teams in the NHL. They're first in expected goals against per 60 minutes, while also allowing the fewest high danger scoring chances.

That's going to make things tough for a Jets team whose offense is average at best this season.

The Bruins beat them 3-2 in their previous meeting this season, and I expected Boston to win by even more in tonight's rematch.

Pick: Bruins -115

Avalanche vs. Sharks Prediction and Pick

With the Avalanche being set as heavy favorites, and the total coming in at 6.5, the best play to make is the UNDER at -120.

Both teams have struggled in the shooting department in recent weeks, ranking 22nd and 30th in shooting percentage over their last 25 games. Meanwhile, they both rank in the top half of the league in save percentage. Colorado has been getting especially good goaltending, ranking first in team save percentage over the same stretch.

San Jose also ranks 30th in expected goals per 60 minutes, so it's surprising to see the total set at 6.5 for tonight's game. I wouldn't be shocked if the Avalanche scores five goals and the under still hits.

Pick: UNDER 6.5 (-120)
