But that's okay, it's Monday, which means it's a fresh week and I'm ready to dive head first into tonight's NHL slate.

Maple Leafs vs. Capitals Prediction and Pick

The Maple Leafs goaltending play as of late gives me pause to bet on them. Starting goaltender Jack Campbell has a save percentage of .887, and Toronto ranks 26th in the NHL in team save percentage over their last 25 games. Look no further than them allowing seven goals to the lowly Red Wings in their last game out.

Because of that, this might be the time to look towards betting on the OVER in Maple Leafs' games until further notice. It also helps that they rank third in the league in shooting percentage (12.06%) over their last 25 games.

Now they face a Devils team that ranks in the top half of the NHL in high danger scoring chances, shooting percentage, and expected goals per 60 minutes over their last 25 games.

If Thatcher Demko was between the pipes for the Canucks tonight, then they'd likely be the play at +100. But with Vancouver resting him tonight, it's time to plug your nose and wager on the Devils.
