Aces vs. Sky Best Bets
These are the two best teams in the WNBA and we’re for sure in for a barn-burner. While you can take either side and get good value, I’m going to look towards the total in this one. The Aces have the best offensive rating in the league (106.4) and the Sky are second (103.8). While the Sky have a top 4 defense, it’s hard to keep the Aces’ offense down.
The total nearly reached 200 in the first meeting between these two teams. With the fast pace of the Aces and the efficiency of the Sky, it’s very possible we get another game that pushes 200. Las Vegas has also been great since the All-Star break. The Aces have cleared 90 points four times and 100 points twice. If they come out firing, Las Vegas could do a lot of the heavy lifting.
The Aces’ defense still isn’t elite, so expect the Sky to get in on the scoring load, pushing this game towards the OVER. – Donnavan Smoot
Pick: Aces/Sky OVER 171.5 (-110)
This is a game I plan to bet Chicago live in the second half when the value is hopefully at its peak. There's a lot of cash on the line from the Commissioner's Cup, and not only does Vegas expect it to be close, but I do as well.
However, when it comes to the first half of play, the Aces have been the far better team in the early going since the All-Star Break. Las Vegas has the second-best net rating in the league (+23.4) in the first half, compared to the Sky who rank just fifth (+8.1).
Expect the fast-paced Aces to come out firing before the Sky adjust the tempo themselves and get the Aces out of their rhythm in the second half. – Ben Heisler
Pick: Aces 1H ML +112
