Ben Heisler and Donnavan Smoot are back to give you their best bets of tonight’s WNBA slate.

Although we hit on the UNDER in the Liberty-Sun game, the prediction of "Sun -10" couldn't have been further off. New York upset Connecticut for the second time this season, dropping the Sun to the No. 3 overall spot in the league.

Tonight, we have another jam-packed schedule. There's four games on the slate with several of the top teams in action. Will tonight be a perfect night for the time, or will the improbable happen once again?

Let’s get into our picks for the night.

Fever vs. Wings Best Bets

Two of the worst defensive teams in the league meet up tonight in Dallas, with the Wings 8.5-point favorites at home against the second-worst team in the league.

To Indiana’s credit, they’ve gotten a few big wins in a rebuilding year, including knocking off the defending champion Chicago Sky in their building last Sunday. However, they still struggle on the road, going just 2-6 with a net rating of -8.1; second-worst in the league.

Indiana ranks dead last in opponent points per game, and 11 out of 12 in opponent points per 100 possessions. They also play at the fastest pace in the league and face a Wings team that’s bottom 4 in opponent points/100 possessions. The Wings rank fifth in PPG, fifth in PTS/100 possessions, and third in 3 point percentage.

Dallas seems to play their best and put up scores in the 90s when going against fast-paced opponents like LA and Phoenix, and the Fever match up perfectly for them to go off. – Ben Heisler

Pick: Fever/Wings OVER 168.5

Mystics vs. Storm Best Bets

The Sue Bird retirement tour returns to Seattle for the first time since making her announcement that this would be her final season, and while I get the case to back Seattle at home against an inconsistent Mystics squad, I don’t know if I’m willing to lay the 4 to do so.

Washington has been the better team metrically all season long. They rank sixth in offensive rating (Seattle ranks ninth), second in defensive rating (Seattle is third), and fourth in net rating at +4.7 (Seattle is fifth at +2.1).

While the Storm completed a five game road trip; going 4-1 along the way, let’s realize that all of their wins came against middle to bottom half teams in the league in Dallas, Minnesota and New York.

Washington may only be 5-4 away from home, but they’re the better team than Seattle, and with two of the top defenses facing off, I expect this to be close to the very end. – Ben Heisler

Pick: Mystics +4 at Storm

Sky vs. Sparks Best Bets

The Chicago Sky just came back from down 28 points to the Las Vegas Aces. I don't think they’ll have any issues with the Sparks. Chicago has a top three offensive rating in the league and are top 5 in defensive rating. The Sparks will be able to keep up on the offensive end – as they have the fourth-best offensive rating in the league. However, Los Angeles is dead last in defensive rating. Eventually, the game is going to get away from LA, especially if it gets into a track meet.

The Sparks give up over 87 points per game. If the Sky get to that number, I find it hard to see them walking out with a loss. – Donnavan Smoot

Pick: Sky -4.5 vs. Sparks

Mercury vs. Lynx Best Bets

The Mercury and Lynx played two days ago, with the Lynx winning by 13. Neither of these teams are good. They are both bottom three in net rating, net points and in win percentage. For that reason, I’m going to take a chance on the Mercury to bounce back from that bad loss and win tonight.

The Lynx haven’t won consecutive games all season. Phoenix was also able to jump out to an 11-point lead at the end of the first quarter. We’re going to bank on the Mercury keeping that level of intensity and bringing home the win. – Donnavan Smoot

Pick: Mercury ML vs. Lynx
