Ben Heisler and Donnavan Smoot are back to give you their best bets of tonight’s WNBA slate.

Wednesday was an okay day for the team. We picked our spots, going 0-2 in the Aces-Wings game and 2-0 in the Mercury-Fever game. Overall, it was a 3-3 day.

There’s only one game on the docket tonight and it comes from New York. The Liberty look to upset the Mystics for the second time this season. Washington got back on track with a revenge win over the Mercury on Tuesday night. Can they keep it up against the surging Liberty?

Let’s get into our picks for the night.

Best WNBA Prop Bets Record to Date

  • WNBA Best Bets Record: 30-23

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Top WNBA Picks For June 16

  • Mystics -4.5 vs. Liberty (-110)
  • Mystics vs. Liberty UNDER 157 (-110)

Mystics vs. Liberty Best Bets

Mystics -4.5 vs. Liberty (-110)

The last time these teams played, New York shocked the Mystics and won by four points. Washington was a 12-point favorite in that game, and it’s clear the sportsbooks have adjusted their view of the Liberty.

New York has won two of its last three games and has seen an uptick in its offense. Still, I don’t trust it will be able to get its offense moving against the Mystics’ defense. These are the two slowest teams in the league, but Washington has the second-best defensive rating in the league. That means if both teams play the way they want, the advantage goes towards the Mystics.

The Liberty may be able to keep it close early, but sustaining success against the Mystics, especially with an often lethargic offense, is going to be a challenge.  – Donnavan Smoot

Mystics vs. Liberty UNDER 157 (-110)

I've suffered two bad beats in the row on unders, with the overs hitting in the final seconds of Aces-Wings on Wednesday afternoon, as well as in the Storm and Lynx game Tuesday night. If you think that's going to deter me from going under in today's standalone matchup in Brooklyn, think again.

Both teams play at the slowest paces in the WNBA, and while New York's offense has looked terrific in their last three games, two of those wins have come against the two worst teams in the league this season at Indiana and home vs. Minnesota.

Washington, after their worst defensive effort of the season at home vs. the Mercury, bounced back two days ago in resounding fashion, holding Phoenix to just 65 points after giving up 99 in overtime two days prior.

Washington fell to the Liberty back on June 3rd, sparking a terrific run for Sabrina Ionescu over her last five games. Expect the Mystics to find a more efficient way this time to slow her down, as both teams operate at a snail's pace Thursday night. – Ben Heisler
