Dream vs. Fever UNDER 158.5 (-110)

After the Atlanta Dream took down the Indiana Fever 85-79 in Indianapolis Sunday, both teams match up again for the second time in three days. With each team now very familiar with each other, I’ll back the under as some offensive regression is expected.

The Fever shot just under 48% from three-point range, including Kelsey Mitchell and NaLyssa Smith going a combined 7 of 9 from downtown.

For Atlanta, Rhyne Howard absolutely dominated the game; scoring 33 points while getting to the foul line 17 times.

Over at HerHoopStats, both teams rank in the top two in possessions per 40 minutes, but neither team is particularly efficient. Atlanta ranks 11th in points/100 possessions, while Indiana comes in ninth.

On Sunday, the shots fell for both teams, and Atlanta got to the free throw line 30 times. Don’t expect the same results in their Tuesday night rematch. – Ben Heisler

Mercury vs. Aces OVER 170 (-110)

The Phoenix Mercury and Las Vegas Aces offer the highest total on the board at WynnBET Sportsbook tonight, and with the Aces as 8-point favorites, the natural inclination is to take the under if it turns into a rout.

However, after taking a closer look, I’m much more convinced that 171 is far too low.

Via HerHoopStats, both these two teams rank either first or second at the top of the WNBA in the following categories: points-per-scoring attempt, 2-point percentage, 3-point percentage, and effective field goal percentage. Defensively, neither team has gone out of their way to make stops, ranking 10th and ninth respectively in opponent points per 100 possessions.

If you love scoring and betting overs, you may find a better matchup this season. – Ben Heisler

Mystics ML vs. Wings (-130)

The Washington Mystics just lost to the Dallas Wings in the first game of this home-and-home. However, Washington blew a 15-point lead in that game.

The Mystics are a better team and have more talent than the Wings, so don’t expect another comeback from Dallas.

If Washington gets off to a good start again, expect them to close the door tonight. – Donnavan Smoot

Lynx +7 vs. Sparks (-110)

The Minnesota Lynx, while 0-4, still have a little fight in them. The Lynx have covered this line in the last two games and are playing a L.A. Sparks team that has lost two straight.

On top of the Sparks’ struggles, Minnesota is getting Kayla McBride back from her overseas season. McBride started 32 games for the Lynx last season.

Getting her back will make the Lynx a better team and make them live for their first win. – Donnavan Smoot
