The W had an off night yesterday, with no games on the schedule. Today, the league is getting off to an early start with the Liberty and Sun tipping off at 11:30 a.m. EST. The Sun, who are coming off a loss to the Aces, are looking to tie the season series with the Liberty.

On top of that, the Aces are back in action against the Atlanta Dream, while the Fever and Sparks will close out the night’s action. We have a full schedule to get to, so let’s dive right into the picks.

  • Sparks -8.5 vs. Fever (-110)

Liberty vs. Sun Best Bets

I absolutely love New York at these odds today.

The reigning MVP's impact on the game cannot be overstated. She's the WNBA leader in net rating this season, and the Sun's splits with and without her are eye-opening.

Going back to 2020, Connecticut is 40-12 with Jones in the lineup, and only 12-16 without her.

As for New York, they're playing their second consecutive game (albeit in five days) that tips before noon ET, and while they were blown out by Las Vegas at home in their previous game, they're well-rested and ready to bounce back this morning.

Most sportsbooks have this line down to +8 or +7.5, but if you can still find it at +8.5, I'd pounce on it before it's too late. – Ben Heisler

Pick: Liberty +8.5 vs. Sun (-110)

Dream vs. Aces Best Bets

The All-Star Break was just what the Aces needed to reset and get back to being the most vaunted team in the league. The Aces have won their last three games, knocking off the Liberty twice and beating the Connecticut Sun.

Las Vegas has covered in its last two games, and it’ll need to be on its A-game today to cover against the Dream. Atlanta – the worst offensive team – doesn’t pose a real threat on the court, but they do against the spread. This is the biggest favorite Las Vegas has been all season. The Aces are 2-3 ATS this year as double digit favorites.

I’m slightly worried about backing the Aces because their defense continues to slide – now eighth in defensive rating. Yet, the offense is humming again, and that makes them the most dangerous team in the league.

Back the Aces tonight to win in dominant fashion. – Donnavan Smoot

Pick: Aces -11.5 vs. Dream (-110)

Fever vs. Sparks Best Bets

Despite a three-game losing streak, this is the time to back the Los Angeles Sparks. They’ve played a brutal schedule over the last three games, facing the Storm, Mystics and Sky. Los Angeles will finally get a break from playing elite teams and play the league’s worst team at home tonight.

These teams are 1-1 against each other this season. While the OVER is another good play today, I’m looking at the Sparks to cover. Indiana hasn’t won a game in a month. The Fever have the second-worst offense in the league and the worst defensive rating. There’s not much they do better than the Sparks.

This is the biggest favorite the Sparks have been all season. Los Angeles is 12-12 ATS this year. With a terrible team coming into their building ready to start a track meet, this is the time for them to shine. – Donnavan Smoot

Pick: Sparks -8.5 vs. Fever (-110)
