Ben Heisler and Donnavan Smoot are back to give you their best bets of tonight’s WNBA slate.

Another 1-1 night went in the books last night, with the Lynx failing to cover and the Dream/Storm game staying well under 152.5. Tonight, we have another small spread and total to look at. The stars are out tonight, so let's see if they guide us in the right direction.

Let’s get into our picks for the night.

Best WNBA Prop Bets Record to Date

  • WNBA Best Bets Record: 22-17

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Top WNBA Picks For June 8

  • Mystics -2.5 (-110) vs. Sky
  • Fever/Sun OVER 164 (-110)

Mystics vs. Sky Best Bets

Mystics -2.5 (-110) vs. Sky

The Mystics get an opportunity for a rematch in their home building Wednesday evening against the Sky after an uncharacteristically terrible defensive performance in Chicago Sunday.

Washington has been one of the most consistent defensive teams in the league all season, and gave up an astounding 55 points in the second half in a 91-82 loss. Chicago shot 55.4% from the floor, including 9 of 20 from 3-point range (45%). The Mystics were also short-handed vs. the Sky without their leading scorer in Elena Delle Donne, as well as head coach Mike Thibault and assistant coach Shelley Patterson.

When Washington is on their game, they’re a force defensively. They’re second in the league in opponent points per game and fourth in opponent points/100 possessions, both of which took a hit after last Sunday’s loss. Chicago also shot out of their shoes Sunday, hitting just under 10% higher in field goal percentage and nearly 14% higher from downtown. That’s not sustainable vs. a good defensive team.

Chicago’s beaten Washington twice already this season, but after a 1-2 week, expect the normally sound Mystics to take the finale.  – Ben Heisler

Fever vs. Sun Best Bets

Fever/Sun OVER 164 (-110)

While I think the Sun have a very good chance to blow the Fever out, laying 15.5 points isn’t something I love to do. I’m going to look at the total in this game because I think we’re getting a little value here. The Sun are in a clear offensive rhythm right now. They’ve scored at least 90 points in their last three games, leading me to believe they’ll have a field day against the Fever.

Indiana has the ninth-worst offensive rating in the league and allows nearly 90 points per game as it is. With an elite offense like Connecticut’s, the Fever can lose by 15-20 points tonight and the OVER will still be in great shape.

The Sun are 8-3-1 against the OVER this season, giving me hope they can do it again. If both teams hit their averages (on both sides of the ball) the OVER will hit. This is the third meeting between these and the OVER is 1-1. If the Fever can stay within striking distance for a majority of this game, this line will fall early. – Donnavan Smoot
