There's only two games on the WNBA docket, but Ben Heisler and Donnavan Smoot are back to give you their best bets of tonight’s WNBA slate.

The Washington Mystics are big underdogs to the Connecticut Sun, while the Las Vegas Aces have a tough matchup against the defending champion Chicago Sky.

Best WNBA Prop Bets Record to Date

  • WNBA Best Bets Record: 12-11

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Top WNBA Picks For May 28

  • Mystics +9.5 at Sun (-110)
  • Aces ML vs. Sky (-130)

Mystics vs. Sun Best Bets

Mystics +9.5 at Sun (-110)

The Connecticut Sun must have read what Donnavan and I had written about them this week. That they're WNBA bum-slayers; beating up on weaker competition in the early portion of the schedule.

Well, they took that frustration out on an upstart Dallas Wings team after being upset at home Tuesday, throttling Dallas 99-68 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

But yet again, I'm going to fade Connecticut as a very surprising 9.5-point favorite against a very good Washington Mystics team, even without Alysha Clark (COVID) and Elena Delle Donne (rest).

Washington has been a force defensively this year; limiting the league's best team, the Las Vegas Aces to just 76 points back on May 10. Then, in their last matchup, they completely shut down Atlanta Dream star Rhyne Howard; holding her to 0-9 from the floor despite entering that matchup leading the WNBA in scoring.

Connecticut Sun head coach Curt Miller, along with assistant caoch Brandi Poole will not be on the sidelines today as Chris Koclanes takes over.

The Mystics' top ranked defense in opponent points/game and opponent points/100 possessions should keep this close throughout. There's too much overreaction to this line, and there's value to be had. – Ben Heisler

Aces vs. Sky Best Bets

Aces ML vs. Sky (-130)

The Aces have the best offense in the league, and that’s what I’m banking on tonight. Las Vegas has the best offensive rating, play at the second-fastest pace and have the overall bet net rating in the WNBA. A’Ja Wilson, who came into this season as an MVP candidate, is the third-leading scorer on the team. She’s still shooting over 50%.

The Aces have too many weapons for many teams in the league to keep up with. Their defense, while not as good as their offense, is still passable and can get stops when needed.

Chicago will win or lose this game at the three-point line. The Sky are 7th in the league in 3-point percentage. If they can knock down threes, this will be a close game. However, if the Sky can’t find the range, expect the Aces to win easily. – Donnavan Smoot
