At the end of the night, we could potentially have the WNBA Finals set. The Chicago Sky and the Las Vegas Aces, who have been the two best teams all season, are up 2-1 in the semi finals.

It’s going to be tough though, as both teams are on the road against two teams who are also elite. Neither game has a spread of even two-points, showing just how tight these games are expected to be.

We have some great basketball ahead of us tonight, and Ben Heisler and Donnavan Smoot have all the bets you need for tonight’s games.

Best WNBA Picks Today

Sky vs. Sun Best Bets

I’ll move away from my traditional first quarter bets, and instead focus on a first half play in Game 4 in Connecticut.

With the Sun on the brink of elimination, I expect them to come out strong defensively, and try to slow down the Sky’s ability in transition.

However, the Sky’s depth on the bench gives them the edge when rotations start to take hold in the beginning of the second quarter. In the postseason, Chicago leads the WNBA postseason in second quarter net rating on the road at +17.6. Connecticut, meanwhile, comes in at -5.6 at home during the first half.

Even if the Sky take a punch early on from the Sun, there’s enough data that suggests they can bounce back and hit back strongly in the second quarter and beyond. – Ben Heisler

PICK: Sky 1H +0.5 -110

Aces vs. Storm Best Bets

This series, while brilliant, has befuddled me as a bettor. It’s been so odd to watch both these teams really struggle to score the basketball in the early going at home. Road teams are 3-0 in 1Q moneyline bets so far and I’ll back that trend yet again in Game 4.

Throughout the postseason, Las Vegas is a +36.4 in net rating on the road in the first 10 minutes of play, compared to Seattle’s +3.3. Granted, Vegas’ numbers don’t mean much since they’ve played just one playoff game away from home, but this is now a 3-game sample for the Storm. For as brilliant as they are offensively, they seem to play with far more confidence early away from home than in Seattle.

There’s a sense of urgency for both teams, especially for Seattle knowing that they let a Sue Bird game-winner go to waste in Game 3. I’ll lean on the Storm to get the win and force a Game 4 in Vegas, but early on, the numbers say to back Las Vegas. – Ben Heisler

The Aces and Storm had the game of the year in Game 3, with the Aces forcing OT with a 0.2-second bucket at the end of regulation. Las Vegas saw its opportunity and took it – setting up a chance to get to the FInals tonight. It’s been a long process for the Aces, but I’m taking them tonight to get the job done.

These two teams have played seven times this season and the Aces are 5-2 in those games. They clearly have an advantage over the Storm.

During the playoffs, the Aces are the highest-scoring team, the most efficient-shooting team, and the second-best three-point and free-throw shooting team. Offensively, there aren’t many weaknesses the Aces have.

I think the Storm had their chance in Game 3 to really get over the hump, but they let it slip away. That opportunity won’t be there against an Aces team that is looking for its first title in franchise history.

Seattle should’ve taken care of business on Saturday night. – Donnavan Smoot

Pick: Aces ML -110
