We went 0-2 last night. That’s okay. As the great Cardi B once said, “Knock me down nine times/but I get up ten.” That’s how I feel coming into tonight. 

Today is another 2-game slate, with the Sparks and Dream facing off and the Mystics looking to knock off the Sky. The WNBA playoffs are just over 10 days away, so all of these games are getting more and more meaningful.

Sparks vs. Dream Best Bets

Neither of these teams are particularly good and there’s a good chance both teams are on the outside looking in. However, the Dream still have hope for the playoffs. They need to show up and play their A-game and I think their offense comes alive against a Sparks team that has lost five in a row and has the second-worst defensive rating in the league. 

However, the Dream are under .500 ATS this year and I don’t trust them to win this game comfortable. Instead, I’m looking at the OVER. 

Los Angeles – like Atlanta – isn’t an efficient offense, but it plays at a fast pace. I expect this game to be up and down with each team not putting much effort on the defensive side of the ball. 

I sill think the Dream are better, so the moneyline and over is in play for me.

Mystics vs. Sky Best Bets

I’m going to go a bit chalky today and back another favorite. I’ll back the Sky to cover at home against the Mystics, who are coming off a big win against the Aces. Chicago hasn’t lost back-to-back games all season long and have only lost at home three times. 

The Sky have the second-best net rating and don’t play at an overly fast pace. When Washington tries to slow the game down and turn it into a defensive battle, Chicago won’t be frazzled. 

Chicago has beat the Mystics twice this season by at least six points, and only lost one game to them by two points. If the Sky come to play, this should be a simple Friday night win.
