BetSided's Ben Heisler started off the second half of our Top WNBA Picks strong yesterday, cashing in on the Las Vegas Aces 1H -3 play against the New York Liberty. Today, we have another standalone game, and we’re looking for the same perfect results.

The Sun, who lost to the Wings heading into the break, look to get back on track against the struggling Indiana Fever. Can the Sun show up and play like a top 3 team in the league?

Let’s get into the picks for the game, with odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Sun vs. Fever Prediction and Pick

The Sun have had trouble with some of the playoff teams in the league this year, but beating up on weaker talent has not been an issue for them. Connecticut covered a 15-point spread in June against this same Fever team. With a lower line to cover and coming off a small break, expect the Sun to be ready to go. Connecticut is third in offensive and defensive rating, and have the tools on both ends to put the clamps on Indiana and run up the score.

Also, Indiana isn’t giving me much to work with. The Fever are not only 5-19 straight up, but they’re also 8-16 ATS. Indiana hasn’t been able to stay close in most of their games, and I don’t think the Sun are going to let up today.

Pick: Sun -9.5 vs. Fever (-110)

My second pick for this game is the OVER. Indiana is the worst defensive team in the league, giving me hope Connecticut can carry this total largely by itself. Despite being the second-worst offensive team in the league, the Fever still are 13-10 against the OVER this season. The Fever also play at the second fastest pace in the league – which will give the Sun plenty of opportunity to score.

The Sun, who are eighth in pace, average the third-most points per game. On average, a Sun game ends with a total of 161.7 points. We might be cutting it close, but the pace and lack of defensive fortitude by the Fever give the better offensive team the advantage.

Pick: Sun/Fever OVER 162.5 (-110)
