We didn’t have the best time handicapping the Liberty-Sky Game 3 last night, going 1-2 on our bets. But it’s just our luck, we have a do-over tonight. The Sun and Wings are the standalone game tonight in another winner-take-all match.

Dallas was able to avoid the sweep and get a game in Connecticut. Now at home, do the Wings have enough to get to the next round?

Let’s get into today’s matchups, and of course, our best bets!

Sun vs. Wings Best Bets

I'll lean on the Sun to win and advance, but Dallas has had their number throughout the season. The Wings are now 3-2-0 both straight up and ATS against Connecticut this season.

However, due to Dallas' propensity to play Connecticut tough all season, I'm going to keep my bet focused on the first half where the Sun have a distinct advantage, particularly on the road.

For whatever reason, the Wings have not had the same type of success at home this year in the first 20 minutes, ranking eighth in overall net rating in the league at home. When they've played on the road, they own the best net rating in the sport.

As for the Sun, they come in with the third-best net rating in first halves of games on the road, ranking third in both offensive and defensive rating.

The Sun were by far and away the best team in the league since the start of the month, and after a massive wake up call on Sunday, expect them to come out strong early on and take it to the Wings.

PICK: Sun -2.5  1H (-115) - would bet up to -3

If last night’s Sky-Liberty game showed me anything for tonight, it’s that we should trust the better team to advance. The Sun have been caught a couple times by the Wings this season, but they are still the superior team on paper, so they’re getting my support today.

Connecticut has the best net rating in the league, the second best defensive rating in the league and had the second-best offensive rating in the league.

The Wings are still waiting to see if Arike Ogunbowale is going to be available for tonight’s Game 3, as she is listed as probable.

If Dallas doesn’t have her tonight, I find it hard to see the Wings pull off this upset. The Sun are battle-tested and simply have more talent on their side.

With this line sitting in the single digits – and a little lower than what I expected – I’ll take the Sun ATS tonight.

Pick: Sun -6 (-110)
