I’m out on the Mercury. I can seem to figure them out and when I take a chance on them, they fail. On top of my own personal mishaps with them, the Mercury simply aren’t a good team right now. They’ve lost three games in a row, have the worst defensive rating in the league and haven’t beaten the Wings in two tries this season.

Sparks vs. Storm Best Bets

Even though the Sparks play at one of the fastest paces in the WNBA, this game is headed straight for the UNDER. Los Angeles is fourth in pace and sixth in points per game, but bottom three in defensive rating and opponent points per game. On the flip side, Seattle plays at the third-slowest pace in the league, and is first in defensive rating. They’ll be able to control the flow of the game on the defensive side of the ball. The Storm are also ninth in the league in offensive rating. 

If there’s one thing I know about this game, it’s that it won’t be a track meet.

Mystics vs. Aces Best Bets

The Mystics, even though they're sitting at 11-9, still sit on one of the best defenses in the WNBA. With the No. 3 defensive rating, the UNDER in this matchup looks like the play on the surface – especially since the last matchup finished under this line as well.

However, I’m going to trust the Aces’ offense today. Las Vegas has the best offense in the league and plays at the fastest pace. They’ll be able to speed up the game and force the Mystics to adjust to them.
