We had two picks that resulted in two winners yesterday. The Chicago Sky were able to win comfortably against the Mystics, while the Dream and Sparks got into a track meet – clearing the OVER by 17 points.

We’re back with another 2-game slate, so let’s get into our two picks of the night.

Best WNBA Picks For Saturday, August 6

  • Fever +13 vs. Wings (-110)
  • Liberty -2 vs. Mercury (-110)

Fever vs. Wings Best Bets

I can’t believe I’m doing this, but I’m actually going to back the Fever tonight. Yes, the worst team in the league by nearly every metric is getting my support.

Hear me out.

Although the Wings are great ATS, that’s because they are normally the underdog. They are overperforming by not losing handily every game. They are not used to needing to blow teams out.

Dallas is coming off games against the Sky and the Aces. They got the win, but after playing the two best teams in the league, a let down here feels right.

This isn’t a big support of the Fever – as they don’t do much well and I still expect them to lose. This is more about expecting a little bit of a let down from Dallas.

Pick: Fever +13 vs. Wings

Liberty vs. Mercury Best Bets

The Liberty have won three straight games, with one of those wins coming against the Mercury. With a small spread in front of them, I like the Liberty to win this game by more than one possession.

Phoenix has lost three straight games, all by double-digits. The Mercury haven’t had a four-game losing streak since the beginning of the season, but their play has been eerily similar. The Mercury are eighth in offensive rating and 10th in defensive rating. They’ve been sliding further down the standings recently, and the blowouts don’t give me much confidence in them tonight.

Pick: Liberty -2 vs. Mercury (-110)
