Towson vs. Drexel Prediction and Odds: Wrong Team Favored?
By Reed Wallach
Towson and Drexel meet in CAA play on Monday evening with the Dragons playing their first game since Dec. 14 after shutting down the program due to COVID-19 protocols.
Before that, Drexel stumbled out of the gate this season, starting 5-5, while Towson has looked the part of a conference title contender, going 9-4 before the calendar turned to 2022.
How should we bet this closely lined spread?
Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Towson vs. Drexel Prediction and Pick
I make Drexel small favorites in this game, but my only concern is that the team hasn't played in several weeks and there can be some serious rust on the court.
However, Towson will be without their star forward Cam Holden, who fractured his jaw recently. At 6'5", he plays bigger than his size, leading the team in defensive rebounding rate and hitting on 41% of his 3-point tries.
The team will lean on guard Terry Nolan to run the offense against Drexel, but can they keep their 3-point shooting up? The club is hitting on 37% of 3-point tries with the help of Nolan. As well, the amount of second chance opportunities for the Tigers will be paramount. The team is 15th in offensive rebounding rate nationally, but Drexel is top 10 on the defensive glass.
Ultimately, Towson's offense is the best unit on the floor, but that is with Holden playing. How will it respond on the road as shot favorites? I'm leaning towards taking the home underdog, but the layoff is keeping me off of bigger play.
LEAN: Drexel +2.5
