Trae Young is having his way with the New York Knicks. He’s controlling the pace, scoring from wherever he wants and setting his teammates up with precise passing. He’s been heckled for his balding and was spit on by a fan, and through it all, Young has delivered for the Atlanta Hawks.

The oddsmakers have taken notice of Trae’s performance and have set his player props accordingly. Young’s arsenal is a combination of 30-foot 3-pointers, floaters and dimes, which is why WynnBET is favoring the odds on the over (-120) for his points and assists line at 35.5. That means his combined number of points and assists will be 36 or higher.

In Games 1 and 2 in New York, Young scored 32 and 30 points, respectively. He was able to get to his spots and have his way with a Knicks defense that was ranked third in defensive rating during the regular season.

Atlanta, behind Young, has found its form offensively in the last two games. Bogdan Bogdanovic is averaging 15.8 points per game and John Collins is averaging 12.0 points per game this postseason. Although those numbers don’t jump off the page, their jobs are easier because of the greatness of Young and his ability to navigate through the New York defense with ease.

Now, Young and Atlanta will be back in Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, where he has embraced the pressure of being the villain and is reveling in that role. For the series, his average combined points and assists number is 37.5. Despite the Knicks being favored in Game 5, they have shown nothing that would suggest they know how to stop, much less slow down, Young.

Atlanta is going into New York up 3-1 in the series and would love to close the door on a Knicks' season driven by hope and hustle. The only way that happens is if Young plays like the star he is, and if the first four games are any indication, he will.
