Don't look now, but New York has covered the spread in six straight games! The 28-40 Knicks will aim for seven in a row when they host the 26-41 Portland Trail Blazers tonight at 7:30 PM EST.

Portland beat New York 112-103 last month as an underdog and hope to do the same here, but they've really struggled after losing Anfernee Simons to injury. The Trail Blazers have lost seven of their last 8 and are just 2-6 against the spread (ATS) in that stretch. Those two covers have come in the last two games though, so maybe they're turning a corner.

Can the Knicks keep it rolling against a downtrodden Blazers squad or will the underdogs get another upset victory?

Trail Blazers vs Knicks Prediction and Pick

After failing to eclipse 90 points in three of four games, the Trail Blazers offense put up a respectable 127 against Washington and 113 vs the Hawks. Josh Hart exploded for 75 combined points in those last two matchups and hopes to stay hot against a Knicks defense that ranks 4th in rating in March.

New York fans have to be both optimistic and frustrated with this recent stretch of play. The roster is generally the same, so why are they just now playing well? I'm inclined to believe this is just a good stretch in a long season full of ups and downs, so I can't put too much stock into it.

The Trail Blazers are terrible. Really, really terrible. Over their last 15 games, they're a bottom-five defense and the worst offense in the entire league. But are you really going to lay twelve points with the Knicks?

I'm certainly not going to. New York has only been a double-digit favorite four times this season. They failed to cover the spread in all four and lost three of those games outright. I can't quite get myself to play the moneyline on the Blazers, but I'm happy to bet them to cover for a third straight game.

Buy low, sell high. All that jazz. This is a perfect sell-high spot on a Knicks squad that has shown us all year who they are: a bad team. Give me Portland to keep it within single-digits and put a scare into the home favorites.

Pick: Trail Blazers +12 (-110)
