The Portland Trail Blazers can’t catch a break with star guard Damian Lillard, as he’s dealing with a calf strain that will keep him out of the lineup for at least 1-2 weeks.

This is the second time Lillard has been out of the lineup with an injury this season.

The Blazers have played well this season, posting the No. 3 record in the Western Conference, but they’ll rely on Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant and others to keep them afloat with Dame out.

That journey starts on Monday in Milwaukee with Portland taking on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee is coming off a tough loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, and it has struggled on offense without Khris Middleton.

Trail Blazers vs. Bucks Prediction and Pick

Portland has gone 3-2 without Dame this season, with its only blowout loss coming to the Phoenix Suns, who are second in the West. Portland also beat Phoenix without Dame.

This is an interesting battle based on these teams ATS records, as Portland is an impressive 9-2 ATS as an underdog and Milwaukee is 7-2 ATS at home this season.

The Bucks have not been nearly as dominant lately as they were to start the season, and Portland’s desire to play at a slow pace (27th in the NBA) could help it cover this double-digit spread.

Both of these teams are top-10 in the NBA in defensive rating, so I wouldn’t be shocked if this game is a slowed down, defensive battle that doesn’t allow Milwaukee to pull away.
