Trail Blazers vs. Bucks Prediction and Odds (Back Portland to Cover Massive Spread)
By Matt De Saro
The Portland Trail Blazers and Milwaukee Bucks square off on Monday night in non-conference NBA action at the Fiserv Forum.
These teams couldn’t be more different as evidenced by the 15-point spread for this game. The Trail Blazers were very busy at the trade deadline and sent Norman Powell and Robert Covington to the Los Angeles Clippers for basically nothing.
Portland also shipped C.J. McCollum to the New Orleans Pelicans for some bench players and a few draft picks. The only star talent left is Damian Lillard but he’s out with an abdominal injury. Basically, the Trail Blazers have given up on this year and are looking to try and get the pieces together to rebuild.
Here are the odds for this showdown courtesy of WynnBET:
Trail Blazers vs. Bucks Odds, Spread, and Total
Spread:
- Trail Blazers: +15 (-110)
- Bucks: -15 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Trail Blazers: +600
- Bucks: -1600
Total:
- 231 (Over -110/Under -110)
Trail Blazers vs. Bucks Prediction and Pick
In an odd twist, since the Blazers traded half their team, they are on a 2-0 run with strong performances from Anfernee Simmons and Justise Winslow.
They are now 3-7 in their last 10 games. While that is nice and everything, they are still going to get crushed by Milwaukee. The Bucks might as well be playing a different game altogether and are stacked with talent from top to bottom.
The Bucks are also on three full days of rest after losing to Phoenix last week and going up against a team that wasn’t even a team last week. This is just a group of strangers right now who are getting to know each other. And without their best scorers, I struggle to see who will step up enough to keep the Bucks in this game. 15 is a lot of points but I think Portland has earned the disrespect from the oddsmakers.
Lean: Trail Blazers +15 (-110)
