Trail Blazers vs. Kings Prediction and Odds: Sacramento Spiraling Down the Drain

The Portland Trail Blazers head to the Golden 1 Center to start a three-game road trip that starts with the Sacramento Kings. Portland hits the road coming off a 119-110 victory over the Denver Nuggets that brought their record to 10-8. The Blazers got off to a slow start to the season but have turned a corner over the last couple of weeks. They are now on a four-game win streak and rank second in the Northwest Division. Chauncey Billups has the offense firing and the Blazers look like a team on the come-up. 

The Kings are coming off a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and are now sitting at 6-12 in the Western Conference. Sacramento is spiring downward right now and a win tonight would be a major help at stopping that slide. The team already got Luke Walton fired as head coach and are hoping that Alvin Gentry can get them on track.

Trail Blazers vs. Kings Prediction and Pick

The Trail Blazers are one of a few teams this season who, despite having talent, can’t buy a win on the road. Portland currently has a 1-7 outright and ATS record away from the Moda Center and has lost three of four away from home. 

But, the Kings have been bad all around and have a 2-7 home ATS record to show for it. One advantage Sacramento has is that Portland is on the second game of a back-to-back. However, with Damian Lillard back to playing at a high level, I struggle to see a world where the Kings pull off an upset here. I don’t expect a big win here but the Blazers should be able to cover despite their woes on the road.
