The Portland Trail Blazers hit the road to face the Oklahoma City Thunder to tip off the final week of the regular season.

The Blazers began a mid-season tank-off with the rest of the league, falling to the bottom 3 of the Western Conference, joined by the rebuilding Thunder. The Thunder may have four less wins than the Blazers, but resemble more of a team over the second half of the year.

Who has the edge in this late-season matchup between two teams with their eyes on next year and beyond? Let's check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook:

Trail Blazers vs. Thunder Prediction and Pick

If you want to see some young talent amidst an NBA slate that is filled with playoff positioning, then this is the game for you.

It's tough to get a gauge on the Thunder as a favorite because it has only happened three times this season, but the Blazers continue to find new ways to lose in emphatic fashion. Sunday night, the short-handed Spurs had little issue winning by 21 and covering as 13.5-point favorites at home.

These two clubs met in Portland on March 28th with Portland closing as 1.5-point favorites and a total of 220.5. OKC won 134-131 in a back-and-forth affair. The spread feels a bit like an overreaction on paper, a 5.5-point shift for home court feels a bit much, but Chauncey Billups' team continues to find new ways to lose so I'm not trying to catch the falling knife that is Portland.

The total feels a bit too high despite the previous shootout, though. Maybe oddsmakers can't factor in just how bad Portland's defense is, which ranks worst in the league since the All-Star break. But I still don't buy it. To me, I don't agree with the need to shift this 2 points based on the recent meeting given these are two of the three worst offenses in the league since the break.

LEAN: UNDER 220.5
