Travis Kelce's Quote About Chiefs Offense Will Get You Hyped Up
By Peter Dewey
Travis Kelce is spitting during interviews ahead of the 2021 NFL season.
The All Pro tight end is both literally and figuratively spitting out the taste of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from last season.
“I think we are going to come out on all cylinders firing, man,” Kelce said.
“We’re motivated right now. We definitely got the bad taste in our mouth. We're trying to get some good juices flowing here and get this Chiefs back and revamped and scoring touchdowns because that’s what we didn’t do in the Super Bowl.
“We didn’t give our team a chance, we didn’t give ourselves a chance. We’re just fired up right now.”
WynnBET currently has the Chiefs as a +475 favorite to win Super Bowl 56. Kansas City is also the favorite to lead the NFL in scoring in 2021 at +300 odds with the Tennessee Titans in second at +700.
Kelce and the Chiefs know they came up short in last year's Super Bowl, but they've revamped their weak spot in the offensive line. With improvements across the interior as well as returning most of their primary playmakers, the rest of the NFL should be on alert.
Kelce, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman and obviously Patrick Mahomes will undoubtedly be one of the most feared offenses in football again this season.
Kansas City led the NFL in yardage in 2020 and was sixth in the league in points scored. If Kelce thinks that they’re going to be even better in 2021, there’s a chance that they could break some NFL records considering they’ll now be playing 17 games.
Rather than dwell on last year's missed opportunity, Chiefs fans should be fired up at how hungry their team is to return to the Super Bowl for a third straight season.
