Trey Lance Starts Second Half for 49ers vs. Seahawks After Jimmy Garoppolo Injury
By Peter Dewey
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a calf injury in the first half against the Seattle Seahawks.
Rookie Trey Lance replaced Garoppolo as San Francisco's quarterback to open the second half. Garoppolo was ruled questionable to return with the injury.
The Seahawks and 49ers were tied 7-7 at the half. WynnBET Sportsbook currently has the 49ers as 1.5-point favorites and -130 favorites on the moneyline in the third quarter.
Prior to exiting, Garoppolo had thrown for 165 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Garoppolo missed the majority of the 2020 season with an ankle injury, which partially prompted San Francisco's move to draft Lance in the first round of this year's draft.
